Technical access to the International Data Spaces ecosystem
The Dataspace Connector is software that is installed at the participating company or platform and thus provides technical access to the IDS ecosystem. The Eclipse Dataspace Connector is therefore a framework that can be integrated into existing IT landscapes. The framework and its components are managed together in the Eclipse Dataspace Components. These follow the specifications of the s Reference Architecture Model (RAM) and the International Data Spaces certification criteria based on it.
The central element for the interoperability of the data spaces is the IDSA Dataspace Protocol. It enables communication between the participants. The Dataspace Protocol Specifications define the schemas and protocols required for publishing data, negotiating usage agreements and accessing data as part of a federation of technical systems called a data space. The dataspace protocol is the basis for technical interoperability in data spaces.
