Setting benchmarks and standards for future-oriented data space technologies that not only make data more accessible, but also enable to process it securely and in value-adding manner: Fraunhofer ISST was able to successfully advance this goal in 2023. With the restructuring into four business units - Industrial Manufacturing, IT Service Providers, Healthcare and Mobility & Smart Cities - and the introduction of the Data Space Technologies working group, we have optimally positioned ourselves internally to set and implement standards in numerous projects and initiatives together with many partners:

• The Manufacturing-X data space initiative is the next big step in the implementation of Industry 4.0, setting new standards in the manufacturing industry for companies of all sizes
• IDERHA as a data space enables improved clinical decision-making and promotes research and innovation in healthcare
• The "Data Space Research Lab" in cooperation with Huawei Technologies opens up new opportunities for cross-border data sharing
• The EU-funded Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) sets frameworks and standards for sustainable digital transformation based on European values.
